I’m Emma—a fitness coach, yoga teacher, gamer, and digital creator—dedicated to improving your quality of life and helping you build a healthier, more balanced relationship with fitness. My approach blends movement and mindfulness to create sustainable, enjoyable habits that fit your lifestyle.
With a bachelor’s degree in biology, a master’s in psychology, and a yoga teacher certification, my coaching is deeply informed by both science and personal experience (including physical and mental health challenges). Growing up, I was a highly active child who explored various sports. However, my sensitivity often left me feeling overwhelmed, leading me to seek comfort in gaming. During my teenage years, gaming became my escape, but it also contributed to a decrease in physical activity—a challenge I’ve since overcome and now help others navigate.
🎮 A Note on Gaming
For those who haven’t gamed or don’t fully understand it - let me explain it a little. Gaming is not inherently bad; it is an art form, just as other forms of entertainment like movies are, and is a beautiful way to experience a story and explore new worlds visually, audibly, and in an incredibly interactive, challenging, and immersive way. And, just like with books and movies, people pour their lives into building these worlds and stories, which takes enormous effort. Furthermore, poor health can be isolating, and gaming can be a way to help reconnect those suffering with peers of their age and form friendships when physically it is difficult.
⚖️ That being said, the problem occurs when there is a lack of balance.
Because of my issues, I would often escape to these worlds; it was the only world I felt I could control - I did not have to fear.
Slowly, I started to fix this, escaping less, and focusing on what I could control - my health, my experiences/exposure, and my thoughts. I began my journey with yoga and mindfulness; through this, I helped calm my mind, learned tools to manage my anxiety, and reconnected to my body. I then dabbled in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and learned about the benefits of good relationships, community, like-minded people, and their influence and how that affects our perspectives on movement as a whole. Finally, I found my strength and resilience through weightlifting.
These things transformed my life, views, and thoughts for the better. I began to see the power and transformative potential of these crucial yet often overlooked practices. I started to want to teach yoga and now general fitness to those who wanted/needed it.
📢 Messages I'm Trying to Spread
Balance and SUSTAINABLE health look different for everyone given their body and circumstances - in the vast majority of cases, it does not appear as a visible six-pack.
Help people who sit a lot build more movement practices into their day - be it yoga, walking, jogging or weight lifting.
Movement and health can be confusing, scary and misunderstood, the way we view and think about fitness is one of the biggest barriers to entry, and this can change. I want to help clear it up and allow you to understand its benefits and power.
I want to help you live better, at a higher quality, and help you make small compounding changes that transform your life.
Letting you know that fitness is accessible anywhere and for those with anxiety or who prefer to practice yoga at home like me I have made a YouTube channel to help you practice alongside me.
I hope to continue to build upon this foundation, learn and study more, coach and practice more and take whatever lessons I can forward to help when and where I can. I am dedicated to helping you view movement in a more appealing, healthy, and balanced perspective.
